Meet the Board
Julia Miles
Chair
Julia has been Chair for some three years. Her background is in HR management and strategic planning (MCIPD). She is also a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor (MSc) and had her own practice. She had previous experience on another Board and is able to advise YTC’s Board on its personnel and clinical matters.
Neil Frost
Vice Chair
Neil has worked extensively with young people in formal and informal education in Hertfordshire, and worked in Essex as an Associate Director of Public Health. A longstanding YCT Trustee, Neil is also a Trustee of two other charities in Essex.
Andrew Linton
Board Member
With a wide range of professional and educational experience in probation and social work, Andrew has Masters degrees from University of Oxford and London School of Economics and Political Science. He is currently a Lecturer in Learning and Teaching for Higher Education and Convenor for the Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education based in Goldsmith’s University of London. He is also Chair of the Board and Trustee of Ark Resettlement Services charity in Tottenham, north London. Andrew advises and updates the staff and board on Safeguarding issues.
Mark Ingall
Board Member
After thirty plus years of teaching in secondary schools and five years serving as a Harlow District Councillor, including three years as leader, after working within the food logistics industry Mark then returned to teaching.
Chris Vince
Board Member
Chris Vince MP is a dedicated public servant with extensive experience in community leadership and social policy. He has a strong background in education, local government, and constituency advocacy. As a trustee, he brings strategic insight and a commitment to improving opportunities for people across his community.
Caitlin Earey
Clerk To the Board
The Clerk to the YCT Board is responsible for all aspects of the Board’s administration, including full preparation for Board Meetings. The Clerk’s work is usually carried out remotely in liaison with the Chair; attendance at YCT House a requirement when meetings are held there.
