10 ways to fundraise for YCT

Thank you for choosing to support YCT Support! Your fundraising efforts help us continue our work and make a tangible impact.

When fundraising for YCT, it's important to share your passion for our cause and keep your supporters informed on how their contributions will directly impact the people we serve.

We’re here to help and we wish you the best of luck with your fundraising efforts! Together, we can create lasting change.

1. Personal campaign

Create a personal fundraising page on platforms like JustGiving or GoFundMe. Share your story about why YCT is important to you and set a fundraising goal.

2. Host an event

Organise a local event such as a bake sale, car wash, or trivia night. Charge a fee for participation and donate the proceeds to YCT.

3. Challenge yourself

Take on a personal challenge such as a marathon, hike, or bike ride. Get sponsorships from friends and family for every mile or challenge completed.

4. Monthly giving

Encourage supporters to set up monthly donations. This steady stream of income can be very beneficial for us.

5. Social media engagement

Use your social media channels to spread the word. Share updates about your fundraising efforts and encourage friends and family to donate and share your campaign.

6. Corporate sponsorships

Reach out to local businesses for sponsorships or matching donation programs. Many companies are willing to match employee donations.

7. Matching gifts

Check if your employer has a matching gift program that can double the impact of donations made to YCT.

8. Thank you campaign

After reaching your fundraising goal, share your gratitude with donors through personalised thank-you messages or shout-outs on social media.

9. Educational workshops

If you have a skill or passion, offer workshops or classes and charge a fee, donating the proceeds to YCT.

10. Online auctions

Organise an online auction with donated items or services. Promote it widely to maximise participation.

Filling the gaps in our social care system

Profoundly impacted by the pandemic, this generation of children and young people is struggling. The systems meant to support them are stretched thin. Long waiting lists mean that countless vulnerable children are without the help they need.

With your support, we catch those who might otherwise slip through the cracks. Whether they’re facing their first challenge or a long-term struggle, whether their needs are simple or complex, we’re there – no diagnosis required.
