Shortlisting for two
Harlow Chamber of Commerce Business Awards!

Heart4Harlow Community and Business Awards 2015 have shortlisted Georgia Wilson (YCT’s apprentice) for the Young Worker of the Year Award, and YCT for the Best Not-for-profit Organisation in this year’s awards!

Georgia Wilson, nominated for her ‘dedication, reliability and kindness alongside intelligence and determination’ will now face a panel of judges on the 8th September 2015 to convince others she is the best young employee in the town. The award’s criteria is ‘someone who shows real initiative and has made a dramatic impact on their business or in the community‚Ķ.that special employee, who has made a significant contribution during the year to your business.’ Everyone who knows Georgia well will know she will definitely be a strong contender and all at YCT are so pleased her hard work and commitment is being recognised.

As an organisation, YCT is also pleased to announce it has been shortlisted for the Best Not-for-profit award 2015. The criteria for the award involves demonstrating sustainable growth, innovation, impact, customer and community engagement, leadership and staff development. YCT does demonstrate these. For example, our 2015/2016 prediction is we will reach 10,000 hours of counselling and therapeutic support delivered for the first time! YCT has managed this growth through effectiveness and professionalism yet by remaining warm, friendly and adaptable. Further, YCT has really good staff retention, is forward thinking and progressive, is always planning and delivering new programmes, projects and training. Most importantly, the feedback from our service users and stakeholders continues to confirm YCT is making a real difference to children, young people, their families and the communities. We think we can win it!!

So watch this space for an update in September for whether Georgia or YCT do go on to win the award!
